Who delivers the training?
Our principle trainer is Stuart Sadler, with nearly 30 years
experience in the industry at senior levels, Stuart was with Tesco
for over 26 years, latterly leading projects in the development of
the commercial and international operations. He then left to set
up his own consultancy, helping great brands and products enter
the UK and global marketplaces. Stuart has masses of experience
to give you as real life examples of GSCOP in action.
Where is the training?
Currently online, we can also visit
you - whether this is a factory, office,
or even multiple sites. Based outside
the UK? No problem. No travelling
expenses are charged if you’re based
in England or Wales.
How long does it take?
The typical session takes around 3 to
3.5 hours, with plenty of opportunity
for interaction with the delegates,
who are encouraged to ask
questions and talk about scenarios
and experiences.
What about afterwards?
You’ll be sent the presentation slides
for reference, also you have the
opportunity to stay in contact for
future advice and guidance.
Who is the training for?
Everyone with a role which entails
day to day contact with the retailer’s
buying teams should be
knowledgable about GSCOP. Without
it, you’re not able to know if a retailer
is acting in the spirit of GSCOP.
Commercial Directors, Sales
Directors, Key Account Managers
and all support staff.
What does it cover?
GSCOP and why it was introduced,
what exactly the regulations cover
and the implications for your trading
relationships.
The role of the GCA and the options
available to safeguard
your business; including raising
disputes.
What sort of supplier should get
trained?
Whether you are a large or micro,
branded, private label or fresh
supplier, it’s for you! If you are
directly supplying one of the UK
designated grocery retailers, you
should know what GSCOP means to
you. The retailers are compelled to
train their staff each and every year -
don’t be left in the dark!
